Disclaimer Bioshock is a product developed by 2k. Honestly, it seems a little silly that importing isn't possible by default, since this seems to be the same game under the hood. The fact that the remaster recognizes old saves suggests that it should be possible.
I guess the devs didn't really consider it important for a linear game like this. Last edited by Nicknimh ; 17 Sep, pm. From what I've played so far, the Remaster isn't by any means a significantly different experience. I reckon you may as well stick to the original for now.
You can always check out the Remastered one as soon as you finish to try out the added Challenge Rooms and such. That's more or less what I was thinking. Maybe someday someone will come out with a mod that allows imports, but it's not worth waiting for that possibility.
I'll just play the original with the 60 fps mod and play the remaster of the sequel. If someone finds a way, let us know. I'll just play using the original until then. So does the import works or not??? Importing your old game saves creates a crash every time. Importing old saves will not work. It should be noted, even when you do put your old saves into the new folder, they're listed as dates, not exactly a description of where said save is when you last played.
I wish I could transfer over save data from Bioshock 2 Remastered to Bioshock 2. I'm sick of the crashing and I just want to enjoy the storyline with my progress intact.
