In the lost continent of Greenwood, the proliferation of negative emotions caused the appearance of supernatural creatures called Hyoma, which feed on the negative energy of humans. The game begins with a young human named Sorey and his friend Mikleo, a Water Seraph, who explore human ruins and rescue a girl, Alisha, who is later revealed to be the Princess of Hyland.
Sorey makes a pact with the Lady of the Lake, Lailah, a Seraph of fire, who grants him the powers of the Shepherd and names him her first lord, with the ability to purify the spirits of the Hellions. When a war breaks out between the kingdom of Hyland and the neighboring empire of Rolance, battles begin on Sorey's path, which will lead him to clear the four sanctuaries that will allow him to evolve and strengthen in these four tests, to be able to face the villain Heldaf.
In a world torn apart by war and political strife, Sorey will have to accept the Shepherd's burden and fight the human darkness to protect his world from malice and reconcile humans with seraphim.
